Description

This beautiful young girl was very friendly & willing to get her picture taken. Taken in the Morisset Hospital grounds, where Tony & I met Margaret & John Connolly & Pat & Graham Robards, for a wonderful arvo of picture taking. Unfortunately authorities have seen fit to announce that these poor animals need culling. Makes you wonder what sort of people are running the country. Lens aperture f/3.6, shutter speed 1/60sec, focal length 43mm, ISO 100.

Idiots seem to be running the country (sigh). There was a debate after the Roos were run down with the 4WD in 2008.

The Minister from somewhere or other said that they would put up 'do not feed the Kangaroos" signs but that still hasn't happened.

What about the guy with the tennis racquet in his hand. One to bop a Roo and the other to pat it.

I wonder if folk are aware they are protected. $11,000 fine or six months in goal. That should be written up somewhere too.

I feel like doing it myself!!!!

I hate the way that they cull. I'd rather dart and Euthanise one animal at a time so the rest of the mob is unaware of what is happening.

So much kinder.

Lovely afternoon none the less enjoying it with these creatures.

Oh dear...I sincerely hope they've been disuaded from the 4-wheel-drive method! Truly barbaric!

A very beautiful portrait, Chris. #8854116

A delightful portrait Chris! I know I couldn't kill a Kangaroo, it would feel like shooting one of my family!
Thanks for a wonderful afternoon, it was a memorable occasion, even if I did get lost...LOL!! #8855016

Lucky you to get so up-close-and-personal with this lovely 'roo, Chris.
Sorry to hear about the culling business. I agree with Pat: " I'd rather dart and euthanise one animal at a time, so the rest of the mob is unaware of what is happening."

The roos are SO CUTE, I dont know what culling is, but from what I read, they are not going to kill them are they?
SO SAD, send them here they can live with me. Beautiful animal capture! #8865931
