Description

Camera was set on Bulb, F16 for about 20sec's. A kids sparkler was then used to 'paint' the flowers. Any comments welcome. A first attempt!

What a great idea! I think it turned out quite well. I like that you can still see the color of the daisies...it really seems they are exploding! I hope that you will experiment some more with this sparkler idea. #1738932

anonymous A. October 27, 2006

And you're asking for advice on exposure??!!

Great creation: I last saw a "light painting" like this years ago, a building after dusk photographed with the camera on bulb and the subject lit by someone walking around (and iside) it seting off a flashgun at strategic points. As you can see, it impressed me enough to remember for a long time...but this is much better: the concept, composition and execution are all terrific! #3512429

Robyn Gwilt October 28, 2006

LOL David :) This was actually shot on film, when I really didn't know a lot!! It was part of a course we were doing, and I only saw the result once the film was developed. I need to try to do it again on digital, then I'll know I got it right!! Thanks for the kind words though!! #3512854

Retire??!!! By the time that happens, I'll be too old and shaky to hold my camera, and will really have to rely on autofocus!! Thanks for your comment Debbie - keep experimenting :) #3679661
