I really wanted an American Primitive look for this simple, boldly colored barn. I played around with different effects and finally decided to layer it with a shot of boards I had taken for use as a texture.

Thanks Leslie, Terry, Jack, Doug, Irene, Monnie, Kitty, Linda, Jeana and Daniella. This was a lot of fun to work with and I had some help in getting it just right from a BP Club where we critique one another's images. I am so glad you like the effects -- I was definitely going for that painted on wood and fading look so your appreciation for the result is gratifying, Irene. I'm sending you the untextured but edited version personally, Jeana -- I'll enter it another month. Lots of great barns in this part of the US, too, should you ever get a chance to visit us :) And Daniella, thank you so much for making this a favorite. Since I prefer the classic version, it's an extra step to see the favorites but I confess to checking them out every week or so and I love getting them. #8787639
