Thank you Dan, Sharon, Jim, Kate, and Joy for your kind comments. One of the things I like best, Dan, about vacations, is slowing down and really seeing things. It's always a bit of a shock to get back on the highway home and be forced by everyone else to speed back up. This shell was right at the edge of the water and stood and watched the waves lap gently over it and retreat. Also the different textures of the sand, how the smaller grains all gathered in one spot.
