Hi Sarah,

thanks for the comments. I have not been taking photos for long, so I am not too sure what you mean by "PP" so I will send all the info from the shot. I have doctored the image in PS basically changed it to B/W, then added some difuse glow. as for the eyes, they were real sharp in the original but I still added the "sharpen" feature in PS just to make them stand out that bit more.

hope this helps

Scott.

Thanks Gail,

I am very pleased with it, I appreciate all the comments, I am never too sure how good an image is until I hear it from other keen photographers.

thankyou. #1608173

PP = post processing. =)

For nto taking pictures long, your gallery is full of good shots! You did a good job turning it to B&W, so often when people do that with a digital it looks totally flat to me, not nice like actual film does. Anyhoo...I like the picture and what you did with it. Thanks for sharing...I was wondering if you did the diffuse on it or not because of how sharp the eyes were...they can sometimes lose it with the diffuse added. #1608389

Hi again Sarah,

yes I have noticed that the image detail softens dramatically with the difuse glow. sometimes I will bring the area of detail back in to the processed image from the original(ie - eyes water drops etc...) photoshop is a wonderfull tool, it can make a lifeless image look fantastic.

I tried photography before, using a canon eos300, but I never had the patience to wait for the developing to be done :o) and was always dissapointed with the results.

I think, once I am confident enough with my settings in digital, I will try using the 35mm SLR and see how I get on. Like you say...Digital can be very flat to say the least.

thanks for your encouragement, and I loved your gallery too :o) #1608404
