This is a truly spectacular capture, as Moby Dick is playing on the TV in front of me! Double sails for me! #8736617

Call me Ishmael. :) There is a power and romanticism in these ships that is compelling. You got me to thinking of Moby Dick and its powerful story and language, Michelle. Here is a quote that fits this scene:

". . . these are the times of dreamy quietude, when beholding the tranquil beauty and brilliancy of the ocean's skin, one forgets the tiger heart that pants beneath it; and would not willingly remember, that this velvet paw but conceals a remorseless fang."

Thank you all for your fine comments.

I have never had the opportunity to see these tall ships underway like this. How lucky you were to be able to. This is a beautiful full frame image, with the feeling of wind power all about it. #8746614
