Group Portrait-Aperture Priority

Uploaded: June 11, 2010

Description

I ran out of gas at this spot (duh!) and was killing time. I liked the curve of the railroad tracks, so I asked the boys to "wait," stepped way back, set the aperture at f/5.6 to blur the background and the WB mode to "Cloudy" and took the shot. Basically, I like this (I think the rule of thirds applies here) but would be happier if I could see the boys eyes better (need some sun) and if there was a touch less foreground. I also wish I had taken off Fritz' collar. I left the boys sitting, but since "wait" means "stay but do what you want," Fritz stood up and Briggs laid down, which I think is much nicer than two sitting dogs.
