Lost Soccer Ball

Description

There is something so sad and lonely about an empty playground. Seeing this ball made it even sadder because I knew there was some disappointed child at home crying for that ball!

G'day *MAXINE*!

Such a timely photograph with the Eorld Cup upon us and so reminicent of a famous American photographer, (whose name escapes me), who photographed a little tricycle in a driveway.
His shot was in colour but yours suits B&W to a T.
Great placement of the ball to ensure you included the swing seats as I feel a strong connection between them.
Your chosen depth of field was a masterstroke as it puts everything in context and makes this work a suburban statement not just a shot of a soccer ball in a park.
I wish this one well.

G'day again *MAXINE*!

I found that photographer to whom I referred earlier.
His name was William Eggleston: http://www.google.com.au/search?hl=en&&sa=X&ei=kWEfTKzGA8bQcZmsvIsB&ved=0CCEQBSgA&q=william+eggleston&spell=1 and the photograph I referred to is 'Tricycle' from his Memphis series: http://www.getty.edu/art/gettyguide/artObjectDetails?artobj=134389
