Hi Pamela. Nice work...I love this woodpecker. I have one that lives in the woods behind my house and he is so elusive. I have only been able to capture him once....you did a good job!! #277565

Great shot! You are VERY lucky to haven gotten a shot to edit in the first place. I have been trying for YEARS to capture a decent shot of one of these! they are VERY elusive! Nice job! #1586100

I saw one for the first time last week! I couldn't believe how big it was. I ran to get my camera and even followed it down the street as it flew from tree to tree, but it was all in vain. You were lucky to get this picture. Nice shot! #1586248

Thank you, Judy, Shelline, and Catherine!!! I was actually out taking pictures of chipmunks when this guy landed on a tree about 20 feet from me! It was great! The shot looked pretty good, but the colors weren't very high contrast because it was overcast, so I posterized the colors. I think it looks even better now.
