Description

aka "The Lollipop Lady". There was a Saturday festival being held amongst the already bustling markets in a little village high in the mountains of Peru, and this lady really captured my attention. I watched her for some time from my hotel window as she set up her "lolllipop" stand...just love her hat and colorful attire!! ...and her serious intent to sell lots of lollipops. She won my heart.

Oh, I love her - the Lollipop Lady! What kid or adult could resist this colorful character? I'd love to watch her bustle about in full regalia setting up for her day's business, too...yep, think she won my heart, also. What a wonderful image, Patti! It is both a great fun story and a visual treat. I love the colorful earnestness of your lady,,,lollipops are serious stuff! :) And then there is the quality of light you have captured: the tones dance. Patricia- I hav'nt used that expression in some time. You bet your bippy. What a blast. sometimes a photo is all about what it does for the one who takes it. There is a story behind it that touched us. You shared that story with us and now we to can get an even more special feeling about this lady. She sure does have some colorful clothes. You know, John, I was so engrossed with the scene that I forgot to buy a lollipop...she would have loved selling one to a North American...they don't see many of us that high up and far back in the country.
