Description

This is for Phil Connolly's belated birthday!!! As a kid I use to play in this sort of place, it was later turned into a suburb, Sylvania Waters. Lens aperture F/4, shutter speed 1/50sec, focal length 15mm, taken along Marsh Rd, Bobs Farm, NSW.

Hey, Chris...thanks so much for the B'day wish!! I am waiting for the next one now so I won't have to plan my life around the alarm clock!! This image is so stark looking, and I can just picture being there. It would be a great place to make a spooky movie!! I love the skeletal look to the trees and I can well imagine spending many hours having fun in such a place as a child!! Excellent capture!

I love mangroves, they are our fish nurseries, but I must admit, I am not too partial to their perfume at times!
A well lid capture with excellent detail, Chris! #8568937

Now that is one mighty well-established mangrove forest, Chris!! WOW!! The subded light and tones, 'mood' and composition here all are superb, my friend!! :o) So you spent at least part of your childhood in the Sylvania Waters area of Sydney, huh?!! ;o)

I would like to send you and Tony belated birthday wishes for yesterday, too!! I hope you had a wonderful day together...and Anzac day, as well!! :o) So did you both do anything extra special for your birthdays?!! ;o) #8569938

I'm so pleased you liked this one. I had a good time there taking pictures, even if the cars were speeeding past fairly close!! Thanks for the Birthday wishes & yes, Sylvania & then Sylvania Waters was home for me in my school & work life time. There would be water snakes in there but I have never seen them. #8571422
