Description

These seagulls flew so fast. To share the essence of the scene with all of you, I combined the birds from three separate exposures. They were captured within three seconds!

Your sunset captures are always colorful and awesome, but I agree that the silhouettes of the birds make this image.

Just for clarification, the birds were not inserted into the scene. I layered three exposures, captured within seconds of each other. I then used the masking tool to add some of the birds, in the sky, that had flew off so quickly. The seagulls were there because the Oceanside Harbor was being dredged, attracting them in numbers.

I feel so fortunate to have been at the beach, for this captivating sunset. A special thank you to Kathy Cline!!! She joined me on this adventure of a lifetime!!! This is an evening I will NEVER forget.
