Finalist EoD June 2010.

Picture was taken at La Défense which a major business district for the city of Paris, France. A striped sculpture reflected in two windows of the opposite building.

Canon 24-105 mm f/4 L IS lens, handheld. Raw conversion and postprocessing in Bridge and CS3.

Exif: F Number: 8, Exposure Bias Value: 1.00, ExposureTime: 1/160 seconds, Flash: did not fire, compulsory flash mode, ISO: 200, White balance: Auto white balance, FocalLength: 70.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 30D

Of all your April entries, this one is tops for me. The wonderful colors, distorted reflections and elements of design, the lines and overall composition is just out-of-this-world. The other that I specially liked are 'levels' for fantastic tones and pov, 'the beauty of old age' for exquisite colors and details, 'shy' for fabulous presentation, 'music for my ears' for perfect conceptual execution in an image and 'superior' again for the splendid pov and EOD. I see some more gold coming your way. Good Luck!

I am fascinated by your perspective here, Katarina. Your ability to see the perfect juxtaposition of different elements in the environment around you is unequaled and the resulting images are always intriguing. I love the bold colors against the crisp white. This is my favorite of your June entries and I'm so glad to see it re-entered.
My other favorites are many so I'll only mention a few: 'Beauty of Old Age' which I know I have tagged before; 'Rouge' which again is perfect for its pov and juxtaposition, here of the word from the sign and the windmill itself; 'In Between' -- the people make it; and 'Baslerstab' whose bold colors and wonderful textures make it a winner waiting to be recognized, too.
