Super cute capture Karen!! I love it. Judy #79349

Thank you Joanie.

This little guy hatched on our lake and grew into a beautiful adult swan by years end. It was the the first time in 10 years. Most of the time the large snapping turtles in our lake would take the young cygnets only days after they hatched. That year was different, finally.

I named him Miracle. #79350

Thank you Tiffany.

It's amazing what you can learn from photographing wildlife. I, initially, did not know the babies road on their parents backs either. I soon found out otherwise.

Hi Karen! I just LOVE all of your photographs and this one of the baby riding on her mother's back is just too precious! We have very similar tastes in subjects as my favorites are birds, bugs, butterflies and any wildlife. It also looks like you live in Sussex County NJ based on the locations mentioned in many of your photos. I live in Central NJ and my brother lives in Vernon. I would love to know what lake you see all of the swans on. I got my first swans last month on a lake in Spring Lake NJ (by Belmar).

I am really impressed with your camera too. I shoot film (Canon EOS Rebel)and then scan my images which is very time consuming. You have some amazing close ups with digital so the 10x zoom must be really good. I have resisted the idea of digital because I didn't think I could afford a really good digital camera since I thought I would need 6+ megapixel but yours at only 3.2 really has great clarity and terrific details. How many shots can you fit on the memory card and how long does your battery last?

Sorry for such a long note, but I was really impressed with your work! #188991

Hi Kelly. Thanks for your wonderful feedback. I live in Passaic County, which is very close to Sussex County.
I'll email you, too much to type here. #189096
