Description: Mr. Rice was born in 1753 and during the American Revolution served under George Washington at Valley Forge and fought at the battle of Trenton on December 26, 1776. In reward he received 320 acres in 1821 near Wooster Ohio. He gave 160 acres each to two of his 11 children.
