Latest News: "Organic Architecture, Native American Museum" received the 1st place award in the Architecture category of the Maryland Photography Alliance's 7th annual photo contest. Overall, 933 images were submitted for consideration in 4 categories. The black-and-white print is currently on exhibit in the Maryland State House of Delegates in Annapolis and will be shown this Spring at the Activity Center of Bohrer Park in Gaithersburg, MD.

Four of images -- "Sylvan Lake Retreat", "Chevrons", "Shake Shack Tableau", and "Olympic Rainforest Poem" -- were accepted for the Frederick Camera Clique's 37th annual juried show at the Mary Condon Hodgson Gallery at Frederick Community College. The show closed in September.

In June, I was the juror for the Inaugural Homewood Collection Competition and Exhibition at Homewood Frederick. From several hundred entries, I selected 24 images to be enlarged and printed on canvas. Opportunities to purchase or sponsor individual prints are available, and proceeds will be used for an annual competition to refresh the exhibition now on display at Homewood’s Woodlands Gallery Hall.

The infrared landscape image, "Sylvan Lake Retreat, South Dakota", was selected for the 2023 Cumberland Valley Photography Exhibit in Hagertown, MD. The show was held at the Washington County Museum of Fine Arts through April.

Two photographs -- "Midnight at the Cleaner" and "Layers, New York City" -- were juried into the "Light and Shadow" online exhibit sponsored by the Maryland Federation of Art (MFA) in Annapolis. The multi-media show attracted 543 entries from 178 artists. Work from 43 of the entrants were selected.

The abstract image "Cycle Study", made at Bicycle Heaven in Pittsburgh, PA, received a Runner Up award in the Close-Up/Macro category of the 6th annual competition sponsored by the Maryland Photography Alliance (MPA) in late November 2022. The competition attracted 1,061 entries.
