I have recently purchased a Canon 50D EOS digital, which is an upgrade to my Canon Rebel XT, only due to repeated problems with "error 99" even after a trip to Canon for a repair. I am reading the manual and also taking Charlotte Lowrie's 50D course. I live in south Florida so I have opportunities to take both sunrises and sunsets. The variety of nature shots are amazing. I have a 500 gallon above ground pond on my patio with 7 water lillies and many bettas and goldfish. I also have a home in Great Exuma Bahamas which provides incredible water and beach shots. My other house is in Gatlinburg Tenn. on a mountain facing the Smokey Mountain National Park. The possible sunrise shots over the many moutain tops are breathtaking. I hope this new camera will allow me to capture both the flora and fauna I see during our hikes in the park. I have never taken a picture with "RAW" before. I have just set the camera to take both JPEG and RAW and I am nervous about taking the first picture with this new camera...wish me luck!!
