I have always loved taking pictures. In August, 2005, I experienced a personal tragedy and was having a really hard time. That's when I started taking photography more seriously, as a way to "escape" and to use my creative energies. What I started to notice is that photography took me out of my own little world, took the focus off of me and opened up my eyes to so much beauty and joy. I was healing in the process and growing happier. It quickly blossomed into much more than an outlet and a hobby and has since turned into a true passion. Anything I have learned, I have taught myself through reading a lot of books and articles. Experimenting and trial and error have probably been more beneficial to me and taught me more than anything else. I also really love to experiment with and play around in Photoshop. Editing has become one of my favorite things about photography.
I am a very happy and blessed woman and am married to the most wonderful man in the world! We look forward to starting our family together - hopefully very soon. For now, we cherish our cat, Oliver! I am also a musician and perform with a touring musical group. I love everything about life and I love that I am able to capture it through a lens.
