My main interest is in mountain landscape photography. I reside in Colorado. Therefore the majority of my photos are focused on that location. My work is highly concentrated on Colorado mountain photos along with the surrounding landscape. Fall is my favorite time of the year. I love the Colorado fall foliage with gold and yellow aspen trees and rust colored scrub oak.
I'm also growing an infinity for the Utah and Arizona desert southwest and travel there at least once a year. I love the patterns and red rock out there. Additionally, I visit the Grand Tetons in Wyoming as well as the Smoky Mountains in Tennessee occasionally.
I shoot with Canon's 5d Mark III camera body. My lenses consist of Canon's 16-35 mm L series, Canon's 24-70 mm L series, and 70-200 mm L series professional lenses. Finally, I have a large assortment of Singh-Ray Gradual Neutral Density filters, a Hoya Pro Ultra Slim Polarizer, and a Velbon carbon fiber tripod with a Benro pan and tilt head.
The goal of my photography is to capture the beauty of nature around us. I love to be outdoors and explore new areas whether it be hiking or driving. Each year, I research and plan new areas to see. There is so much to see and I'm thankful for state and federal protection of so many wilderness areas. In these locations, I strive to capture those moments in such a way that it reminds me how it felt to be there. My hope is that the photos will take you to each location and offer you an opportunity to experience the beauty of each scene and appreciate the land we live in and around.
