I am currently shooting with a Nikon D5000. To say it has been a challenge is an understatement. I am ever progressing on my use and understanding of my first DSLR, though I have not been able to put away my Sony DSC H5...it is a sheer delight just to get out and have fun with. I have been taking photos and learning all I can since May of 2005. I have during that time taken thousands of pictures. I take my camera everywhere and shoot everything. (My patient family can attest to that). I particularly love nature, my favorite subjects being hummingbirds and dragonflies. When I take my camera and head out by myself I literally feel the tension falling from my shoulders. There is nothing more relaxing to me. My goal has always been to learn how to take photos that will in some way help me showcase for others the wonderful gift we call Creation. If I succeed even a little bit, I will feel greatly rewarded. I have five children, six grandchildren and one very patient and supportive husband.
