I've been taking pictures for as long as I can remember. My first camera was a little point and shoot 110, I believe. It's been a long time, and I've slept since then. I now shoot with a Canon 5D Mark III as my primary camera.
My family moved a lot when I was young, and pictures have always been important to me. They helped me remember where I'd been and the people that were far away. Now that I have my own family, my lifelong passion has really exploded. My kids can barely make it through a day without having my camera in their faces.
And, with the help and encouragment of my family and friends, I have turned my passion into my career. I now take portraits for other families as well as my own - helping them to track their history. I get such great joy from capturing the special moments - the sly smiles, the baby drool, the defiant stares, the simple glances, the outright laughter, the hugs and kisses - all those things that make up the character of a person and help to join families together.
A special thank you to my husband Drew and my two beautiful children, Kate and Evan for all their love and support, and for being my models so frequently!
I hope you enjoy the images in my gallery. All feedback is welcome and appreciated. I learn a little something new with every image I take.
