The Pollinator
This carpenter bee cannot reach into these ocotillo flowers, so it cuts slits in the base of the tubes to get to the nectar, but still pollinates the flowers since it's so large; Bosque del Apache NWR, New Mexico; ISO 200 1/800s F5.6, Canon 70-300 IS DO @ 300mm; Feedback Greatly Appreciated!
