Bombay Hook Blue and Gold
I'd been shooting snow geese for hours on a November afternoon at the Bombay Hook Wildlife Refuge in Delaware when I happened to glance around and was stunned by the effect the lowering sun was having on the marsh behind me. It didn't last long, but the rich gold grasses and pure blue blending shades of sky and water were unforgettable. Provia 100 film, Sigma 28-135 lens, probably shot at F22, shutter speed not recorded, circular polarizer, on a Manfrotto tripod. Slide scanned into Photoshop Elements 1.0 with a Nikon Coolscan IV. Some Levels and Unsharp Mask corrections.
