This statue of a Union soldier stands outside the Union League Building on Broad Street in Philadelphia.

From this viewpoint, one is struck by the placement of this old soldier on COMMON GROUND with the soaring skyscrapers of Today.

The Union League was erected in 1864 as the clubhouse of an organization of wealthy pro-Union donors. The building is currently home to a hotel named 'The Inn at The League' and is still owned by the Union League.
