Fire Poi Reflection
Here’s a time-lapse photo of fire poi (or flaming balls which are constructed from chain with a kevlar wick soaked in kerosene) capturing what appears to be a “Butterfly”, a combination of visually impressive moves in which the poi artist creates circles around the body while spinning the fire poi. Taken with a handheld DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera set at ISO 400 and f/16 using a wide-angle zoom lens (12 to 24), and then digitally manipulated to add in the water reflection primarily by using Abode PhotoShop plug-ins. Entered into the “Digital Darkroom” category.
