Forecasting Coffee

I always put cream in my cup as I wait for my coffee to brew. The cream in the blue cup on my white countertop inspired me.
I turned the kitchen counter into a lightbox early one morning with a bed sheet and two directional lights on either side of the cup.
In post-production I sharpened a bit, and overexposed the front of the cup to make it look like a watercolor stroke.
From a distance it's difficult to tell if there's cream in the cup, or if the bottom is cut-out which creates an optical illusion: you could be looking down through the top, or up through the bottom.
