Blossom Awakes
aperture f-4, shutter 1/8, lens - macro, location - backyard in San Diego.
This is a process of taking a photo and then turning it into a grayscale. Then turning it into a duatone. All this is done using the mode tab in PhotoShop. I then took the original colored photo and cloned into the duatone photo that I turned back into the RGB mode. I mode sure that my brush was only on about 25% opacity as I painted the flower with the original color. It is like painting with light and the flower becomes more luminescent as you work with it. I decided to stop once I got the desired results.
