(Old) Leh Palace
Leh, Ladakh, India
Built in the 17th century, Leh Palace is a former royal palace overlooking the Ladakhi Himalayan town of Leh.
The palace was abandoned when Dogra forces took control of Ladakh in the mid 19th century, and the royal family moved to Stok Palace.
A devastating cloudburst that triggered flash flood, mudslides and debris flows had caused extensive damage to life, property and infrastructure in this town in 2010, impacts of that are still visible in this image.
