Window Light
Tucked away in the Berkshire hills of western Massachusetts, the Clark Art Institute one of several gems to be found in Williamstown, MA. "The Clark," as it is affectionately known, grew out of a collection of Sterling and Francine Clark and opened to the public in 1955. It sits on a rural majesty of 150 acres. I was struck by the window light dancing across the floor below "Woman and Roses," a painting by August Toulmouche (1829–1890), during my visit.
