First Light on Rakaposhi
Was lucky to have beheld this late afternoon sight during our summer trip up north. Rakaposhi is a mountain in the Karakoram mountain range in Northern region of Gilgit in Pakistan. Rakaposhi means "Snow Covered" in the local language. Rakaposhi has an uninterrupted vertical rise of approximately 6,000 m (19,685 feet) making it the tallest mountain on Earth when measured from the base to peak.
