After the Fire
A view of the endless burned pine trees in Bastrop State Park, Bastrop, Texas.
In 2011, conditions caused by an historic drought gave rise to several wildfires in Texas.
The Bastrop County fires were the worst in Texas history, claiming two lives, destroying 1,691 houses,
and burning all but 50 to 100 acres of the 5,926 acres of Bastrop State Park.
Sadly, burned loblolly pine trees resembling telephone poles still stretch as far as the eye can see.
Minor adjustments in PS CC.
