Old Sydney Town.
On the central coast about an hour’s drive north of Sydney, the world’s first faithful re-enactment of the birth of a nation was created. It ran for 28 years, and it was the recreation of Sydney in the first 28 years of its life, after the arrival of the first fleet back in 1788. Despite the 240,000 tourists that visited the complex, the venue closed on the 27th of January 2003.
This is a recreation of an early Sydney home, with the Military Mill (Sydney’s 2nd flour mill) in the background.
