Sampler in Wood #1
Resubmitted for May 28, 2018
This is the corner of the trim around the most elaborate industrial sized garage door I've ever seen - at least two large vehicles wide and maybe more. I found it in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The carvings are incredibly varied yet the whole is quite cohesive - it reminds me of a needlepoint sampler pillow where every block is a different pattern but done in the same tones so the whole has unity.
