This delightful scenic garden is actually a side view of the Gothic Chapel at Crown Hill Cemetery. Built in 1875 at a cost of just under $40,000, it first served as temporary place for entombment. In 1916, it held the body of Hoosier poet James Whitcomb Riley for over a year until the debate over his interment was resolved. Restored in 1971 and later in 2004-05, today it hosts various public and private events.
