Polly Woodside
This model was taken in the Ballina Maritime Museum, not the best conditions to take pictures, with all the glass & lights. Polly Woodside 1885, a 3 masted iron Barque of 678 tons, built in Belfast by Workman, Clark & Co for W. J. Woodside & Co. She is now on show at the Melbourne Maritime Museum after 60,000 hours of voluntary labour. Her last owner Howard Smith Industries sold her to the National Trust of Australia for 1 penny. My Dad's G'father sailed on this ship many years ago, about 10 years ago I visited the museum with 5 of my family & had a good look over her. I bet this young sailor never imagined all these years later all these female relos would be walking around the ship where he'd been!! Lens aperture f/3.2, shutter speed 1/30sec, focal length 4mm, ISO 500.
