Four Tigers on Ironweed
(or five)
----
The meadow at Bowman's Hill Wildflower Preserve in Washington Crossing, PA was in glorious bloom on July 27, with acres of swamp mallows and New York Ironweed attracting hundreds and hundreds of swallowtails (and other less showy creatures). The overcast sky made an interesting backdrop for shooting. Some flower clusters were visited by five or more butterflies simultaneously; butterflies were so dense that I was touched over and over again as I was standing in their flight paths, apparently.
