Dovecote 360 at Lewis & Clark College
A dovecote (or dovecot) is a type of dove house intended for pigeons or doves. Dovecotes were typically built into the end of a house or barn, but could be freestanding structures. This one located on the campus of Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon is called the “Dovecote,” a coffeehouse that today offers fresh pastries and espresso. The original images for this polar panorama were captured with a tripod using a homemade panoramic nodal bracket holding the DSLR (digital single lens reflex) camera with vertical grip vertically set at ISO 400 and f/16 using a wide-angle zoom lens (12 to 24). Entered into the “Contrast” (Monthly Theme for June 2013) category.
