The Bliss of Solitude
Finalist
Submitted for the PG101 Clouds Theme
I reread Wm Wordsworth's "I Wandered Lonely as a Cloud" for title inspiration - but since the clouds don't look particularly singular here and it's the tree that does, I settled for this from the last stanza:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,
They [daffodils] flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude;
And then my heart with pleasure fills,
And dances with the daffodils.
