Forbidden Drive
--- This father and daughter were playing pebble checkers on a natural rock table. Wissahickon Creek is in the background. The Valley Green Inn is behind the Dad. --- This is a MUST SEE stop (known mostly by locals) if you are visiting Philadelphia. From a Wissahickon Valley website: ---- Wissahickon Valley Park Trail (Forbidden Drive) follows the creek through the entire length of the park and was so named because in the 1920s cars were banned from it. Today, it's open to pedestrians, equestrians and cyclists. ------- On this first day of Spring, there was a small flock of wood ducks cavorting and splashing in the creek. -----
