Shooting In Low Light Shooting a night or in low light my camera does not want to focus on the subject - so what am I doing wrong ps - any good book out there to help me in this?

If you're using auto focus, the light may be insufficient for the camera sensor to see a subject upon which to focus.

SLRs usually use the difference in contrast between the subject and the background to focus, so in dim lighting situations the contrast difference is probably insufficient. The best way I've found to solve this problem is to just switch to manual focus. -Jordan
