How to shoot a Christmas scene How can I shoot a little girl and Santa near a fireplace and Christmas tree, with tree lights on, and have it look like it is night time. My friend wants this for her Christmas cards. Like she caught Santa in the middle of the night. If we use a flash it will take away the effect we want, won't it? 11/22/2003 4:45:18 PM |

This could be an example of a vivid imagination, but not practical for photography. One option to try is to use fill flash at -1, bracketing to -1.3. If the tree is lit up, the fill flash may put enough light on the people to fulfill the scenario. But, be prepared to alter the original idea. 11/23/2003 6:38:57 AM |
