Digital Slide Show Software Any recommendations for software packages for putting on digital slide shows (with music)? Will be working with original digital images and scanned slides. I know you can use PowerPoint but was told it really wasn't designed for this. Thanks

FlipAlbum CD does this fairly well, the program is not expensive, and the company runs a good forum and Help page. Burn the slide show to a CD with your own CD software. Your recipient needs NO software to play it; he just pops it into his CD player and it self starts. The viewer has the option of letting the pages flip automatically as your music plays, or of seeing your images full screen by clicking on individual slides. The full screen images are better quality than the ones on the flipping pages. Adding commentary by means of text is ingeniously simple. Your CD plays differently on each individual computer, so it's not possible to coordinate voice narration or songs with certain slides.

I have FlipAlbum 5 Professional, and completely agree with Doug. It's a great program for slide shows, however it ran me about $150.00. For about 30.00 you can download "Pic To Exe" and it also does a great job of creating a slide show with music. The difference is that it doesn't have any album pages or anything to "flip" it's just a slide show. They're both great programs!

"Pro Show" from Photodex Corporation -- www. photodex.com -- is a very versatile slide show program. I like best the feature which lets you do the programming three different ways including manual control so you can sync the photos with the music. It also has 170 transitions to choose from. It is cd, vcd, scvd capable.

Well, I just read this Question on Dec. 18. I am AMAZED that NO ONE - in Q. nor .A ever mentions PLATFORM !! You want a Certain Software - FIRST QUESTION : For MAC, or WINDOWS ? Second Question : Will the RECIPIENT of the "Slide Show" be on a MAC or PC ? If BOTH : Do you know How to Create a "9660 CD" ? I have been doing Digital Photography on Different MACS for about 7 Years. 8 out of 10 Digital Photographers, Processors, Now if you just want to send some tacky little Slide Show to Uncle Bob, then.... Never Mind. P.S. I have made Digital Slide Shows with Music - with 7 Different programs on MAC. As it is. ... Sharpshooter

Has anyone had any luck creating slide shows to play in/on their DVD player? I would like to have slide shows for friends to watch in my home theater. I don't think I need a DVD burner, but the CD needs to play in a Bose Home Theater system. I have a PC and a CD/RW system. Thanks, Scott

Greetings In response to Scott's question-I have used both Flip Album Pro and Jasc's Photo Album 4 to create VCD'S that play on a VCD capable DVD player. All you need is software capable of creating VCD'S and a CD burner. Mary

I say PictureToExe is a sure winner (like other folks said here before me). You can actually get a nice deal (10% Off) if you buy it from the same vendors I did http://www.deprice.com/picturestoexe.htm Download first, pay, get the reg key e-mailed to you, register the software - and you are ready to go. Took me 7 minutes for everything
