Why my uploaded photos look distorted.

I recently uploaded 3 photos,2 of them for the contest. They are dog's portraits.
They look like their faces are elongated, not how I have them in the original photos.
I haven't upload any photos for a while and I'm wondering what did I do wrong.
I can't upload them here now,but you can see them in my dog's gallery at www.anniehanley.com..They are the first 3 photos in the gallery of Tippi and Alma.

Thanks,Annie

  Hi Annie,
Sorry to hear of your issue. I did check your dog gallery (Loving Friends) and things look good to me ... so maybe I didn't see the right ones?

Thanks,
Kerry

  Thank you for looking Kerry.
Their faces are not right. It is not much but they look longer that what they really are.
The original photos are horizontals and they look like verticals when uploaded. I just notice this.
I saved them with Ps as jpeg, just to upload. I didn't change the measurement.
I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I hitnk it has to be with the sizing.

  Hi Annie,
Thanks for the followup. This is strange, but it could be related to pre-sizing the photos before uploading. For my own work, I always change the image size for uploads. In your image software - i.e., Photoshop, or whatever - try sizing the photo at 800 pixels on the long side. I'll bet that does the trick ... hopefully :)

Kerry
