Photography Question

Why can't BetterPhoto download EXIF from images

I don't know if this question has been asked before. And it really isn't a question so much as a suggestion for BetterPhoto. It would be nice, I think, if the EXIF information concerned the shot settings for the images were automatically downloaded and displayed.

While some photographers (and I am patting myself on the back LOL) are good at giving the ISO, shutter speed, f/stop, and the like, for images downloaded, many folks do not. And BetterPhoto is supposed to be, first and foremost, an educational site where photographers can learn to become better. One of the ways to do that is browse other photographers work. When we see something we like it is nice to see what shot settings were used by the photographer.

I know other websites for photographers are able to display the EXIF information automatically when the image is downloaded. I think it would be a very nice service for BetterPhoto to do that too.

What say the rest of you?

Many times exif isn't retained when you save/resave an image.
The comment button below the picture is a good substitute. Most people will answer if you ask.
