Lighting for Outside. I will be doing a shoot in the middle of the woods, and I might need extra lighting. What kind of lighting would be the best to use in a situation like this?

Stephanie Without knowing specifically what you are planning to shoot, my answer can only be vague. I carry with me on location, where there is no power to run strobes, a Norman 400B battery-powered strobe, stands, umbrellas, etc. I also have a few extra Sunpak flashes that I can place on stands with Radio Slaves so they fire from the camera. This has all worked well.

Looking at your gallery, you do portrats. Hmmm. You could try natural light or one of those little honda generators to run some studio lights with. Iv seen em used at street fairs, they are pretty small and quiet. If they have the output you need to run some lights I don't know. You would have to check into that. If you can drive right up to the location maybe you can run off your battery using an inverter....just a thought

How to explain the location: hmm, here goes. It is off of a major highway. A couple years ago there was a huge fire through the trees killing acres of trees, for the past year it has been rejuvinating itself and now there is green underbrush up against the dark burnt trees and it is AMAIZING. The thing is , There is not really a parking space, it is really just kind of off the side of the rode. I have a jeep so I MAY be able to pull my jeep in somewhere depeading on how tight the trees are situated. I can't remember how the light shines through them. but that is the look I am going for. Kind of airy, kind of sweet fairy, I guess you could say. Thanks for the information I am going to look into it.
