Character Limits and Other Issues
1. I am using one of my wildcard pages to display a gallery of articles and downloadable pdfs with links that take up alot of characters. This is severely limiting the amount of content I can place on these pages. Is it possible to extend - or eliminate - the character limits for these pages?2. Also, where do I find - or activate - these new navigation tabs to make gallery browsing easier? 3. I am most interested in fully customizing my website with the design/layout/colors I want to use. I have found that the limited selections offered are very frustrating. Can you open up some new options for custom designers to personalize their sites, i.e: fully customizable home page; no preset color palette, but hex code option; upload options for backgrounds; buttons; thumbnail/small image posting so don't have to link to external sources; etc? thank you

Moving pics from basic to deluxe
Is there anyway to move the photos from my basic account to my newly purchased deluxe account. I wanted to be lazy and just post them to the other site, but it appears that I have to locate all of the photos and move them over with another upload. Am I missing a simple step?

Jayson, You definitely do NOT need to upload your photos again just to use them with your Deluxe BetterPholio website. You have the same "pool" of photos available in both locations. In your case, you have 389 photos available in both locations. You've created a number of Photo Categories for your Deluxe BetterPholio. You just need to assign photos to those categories and you'll be all set. The quickest way to do that is in your Admin Center > Photos > Select and Categorize Photos page. I hope this has helped. Hi Jayson,
Go to your Admin page for your Deluxe site, then the Photos tab and there is a "new" Photo Manager link - this will show all of the current photos you have uploaded to BP and just click on one of the images and it will show your list of galleries - click the box/gallery where you want the image to be displayed - then click Apply Changes - thats it :)

Hey, thanks guys for the response. I guess I just needed to do a little bit of looking. Very helpful. Thanks. Now, if you could tell me how to get a slide show on the first page, I would be set. (Maybe you need the pro site, not just the deluxe for that.)

How to change the copyright watermark on my photos
I'm getting divorced and changing my name back to my maiden name. My married name the copyright watermark on all of the photos in my gallery. Is there a way that I can change my name on the copyright watermarks, or do I need to wait to change my name on my account when my legal name change goes through?

Hi Judith, Once you've uploaded photos, they can't be edited, and that includes the copyright watermark. You can change your name in your BetterPhoto Member Account anytime you wish. You make that change by logging into your Member Center, then go to Member Info > Contact Info. Make any change you need, then click Submit at the bottom of the page. Once you change your name, your copyright watermark name will change for all future uploads. I hope this helps. Thanks,

Sure you can..Go to your member center, then to Basic Better Pholio (top right) and then scroll down to Display Emblems/Graphics and check the boxes you want to display.

Thanks for your quick response and the info Carolyn. I have already done this. The emblems do show on the thumbnails when I click on them and they are enlarged. I am grateful for that, but would like them to show right below the thumbnails before I enlarge them also.

Mine do show up under the thumbnails, but I have a very old style gallery, so you might check with Jay...(jay@betterphoto.com)..he's the computer guy and always has the answers.

Joan, I switched my gallery to the new style..the same style you have, and based on Carolyn's comment, ensured "Editors Picks" was selected, and they showed up under the thumbnails. I then unchecked Editors Picks, and they went away. So, it should work for you. Hopefully Jay can assist.

Thanks, Ken, for your input. I am really appreciating the networking here at Better Photo as I am rather new at this. I did end up contacting Jeff at Better Photo about this and he said that I needed to revert back to the classic version of my betterpholio and so I did that and there it was! The editor's picks are under the rectangle thumbnails. Problem solved. Thanks, again!!!!

page links are all lower case letters
Hi there!
I am wondering what setting I have to change in order for capital letters to show up in the page link tabs?
In my administration center, I have 'Home', 'Gallery', 'About Me' etc., typed out just like that, but on my actual website, all the links show up as lower case....this is minor, but it really bugs me because it doesn't look right to me.
Is there a setting I can change to allow capital letters, or am I stuck with all lower case letters in the page tabs?

Go to your admin center and try this:
Pages/Pages Included/ scroll down and see what font you have checked..I don't know for sure, but some of them look like they may be without caps.

Carolyn, you're awesome!!!! .....I did go to this section and I see that I had, for whatever reason, typed in 'home' (for the first page selection) instead of using one of their defaults, of which one is 'Home'. Perhaps typing in that initial lower case word set the tone for the remaining words for the other tabs? In any case, I changed it to the default, and now all the page tabs have their first letter capitalized as I would prefer. Thank you so much for your input & speedy response!!! Have a great day!

How to add slide show to the home page of my site.
I have a deluxe website. I would really like to have the home page be a rotating slide show of different pictures. Can you tell me how to do that? thanks Rhonda

Hi Rhonda,
Go to your Admin Center and Pages>Select Home Page Graphic and this will give you the option to "create slide show".
I usually have another BP window opened with the Edit Photos section opened so I can copy/paste the photo ID into the slideshow windows by bouncing back & forth between the 2 pages.

HHMM I think I missed something. On my Pages - there is a Home Page Photo. and that just gives me the option of the actual picture. There is also the choice of a slide show. I messed with that for a little bit and didnt get any where. It this only a feature availalbe on the premium site maybe?
