I TOTALLY agree with the editors on this one!!! I've gone to the water around VA numerous times over the last year looking for these ripples in the sand and have yet to find any worth photographing. Maybe when I'm out west this June..... :O)

Congratulation on all the well-deserved acclaim for this image, Eivor! Great image comp, colors, light, shadow and textures!! (years ago, I was at the dunes during the first week in Sept, and the water was only ankle-deep, at the most--and freezing cold; which felt really good, after walking in the very hot sand)
