  Thank you all for your comments. The picture (besides this one) that I was trying to capture is very similar. As this bird (GBH)flies toward the far shoreline to gather sticks he doesn't flap a wing. At one point very close to shore he prepares himself for a landing and in the process his feet will skim along the water for a brief moment. That would be a great photograph and I hope to share one with you one of these days. It will most likely happen next year as most of the nest building has been completed this mating season. At least where I hang out.
