Thank you, Judith. I don't know what this is. It grows in my front yard along the ground kind of like ground cover and measures about an inch and a half in diameter. It's also a pale orange in color!!!

It's a hibiscus Stan....which I believe is the Hawaii state flower....beautiful shot!

Thank you, Laurie, and I am still going to try to do more research on this. The Hawai'i state flower, the red Hibiscus, has a single stamen, is much larger, a different red and the petals have veins in them, and they grow on large bushes. This particular flower is much like ground cover, doesn't grow very high, though when you enlarge the photo it may look like a type of hibiscus. Thanks again!
