Salt Creek, 12/05/07, 1/30th, ISO 400...Although the largest swell of the year, where I was in Orange County the size was diminished by island blockage - still this wave is about 10'(measured from the back so the wave face is about 20'). A surfer drowned up north at a surf spot called 'Ghost Tree' where the waves were 30-50' on Tuesday...

I would also like to thank David Orias for his inspiration - while I had experimented with panning before, it never dawned on me to apply this technique to surf shots until I saw his work - this wave, if ever so slightly, was panned...
